“A month or so ago I started reading materials relating to setting intentions and the 'law of attraction' in order to enhance my professional experiences. I find the material fascinating.”
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT?
“Coordinating a two-week Gwich’in language revitalization institute. It brought together over 20 elders, had 8 high school media interns and was featured on HBO’s 'Vice News Tonight' in August 2019.”
What’s the greatest struggle you’ve overcome and how did you overcome it?
“A divorce after 18 years of marriage had me questioning my worth and some of my relationships. I found a new sense of self and how to identify and change maladaptive relationship patterns.”
WHAT DOES ADVOCACY LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?
“I’ve been fortunate enough to be in supervisory positions that allowed me to recruit and advance female talent, especially other Alaska Native women. Amplifying their ideas and contributions empowers us all.”

“Show up, do the work.”
“It reminds me to be present in all aspects of my life, personal and professional. It helps me focus when I need it and allows me space to step back when I need to recharge.”
