Women’s Entrepreneurship Day / Women’s Innovation Day events (2017 - 2018), North Carolina
In November, women across the globe celebrate Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (or WED), which launched in 2014. The Triangle community created an inaugural Women’s Entrepreneurship Happy Hour to help honor and celebrate the occasion. This inaugural event, hosted by HQ’s Cannon Room, was incredibly well attended, with a waitlist of more than 40 people (and with coordinators receiving calls throughout the day from people trying to get tickets). Dr. Sarah Glova was one of a team of eight women entrepreneurs who created, organized, and facilitated the event, which included cafe-style roundtable discussions. Since, Sarah has continued to support the event through semi-annual Women’s Innovation Day events.
